Woodrow Kroll Quote

Woodrow Kroll
“Well, as a Christian public we have spent so little
time reading God's Word that our thirst for
substance has dissipated, while our thirst for
entertainment has driven us to seek out "Christian
lite." We're so spiritually anemic, we're so biblically
illiterate, we can't tell the difference between
spiritual meat and mayonnaise. We crave what is
good entertainment at the expense of what is
eternal. We listen to what pleases us, not to what
changes us. We buy holy hardware, not what aids
our spiritual growth to maturity. Our hearts are
blessed; our heads are left behind.”

“God's Word helps us discern what is eternal
from what is temporal, what is best from what
is good. His Word is forever settled in heaven.
It is not our opinions about His Word or our
opinions about the world situation, nor our
music, nor our books. It is the Word of God
that is forever settled. But the less we read of
His Word, the less discerning we become. The
less discerning we become, the more we
settle for what is good, rather than for what is
best.”
